Diaplay of handknitted poppies to remember the centenary of the Armistice in November 2018 This timber-framed house in Cross Street is 16th century but the timbers are hidden underneath 18th century plaster St Gregory's Church, Sudbury, November 3rd 2018 The effigy of Bishop Aelfhun on the Croft, Sudbury, commemorates the first written example of the town's place name. The sculpture was carved from the remains of a 100 year-old Monterey Cypress tree by Ben Platts -Mills and tells the story of silk from the moth to the finished garment.
